  I had to take my partner to emergency in mackay. After calling a couple places to tell the situation, the international lodge was the only place that allowed us flexible payment.

  Hunter, the owner/receptionist was friendly and caring. Our room was immaculate. Beds were comfortable. The price was negotiable. There were strong smoking prohibition rules. Our stay there was just 8 hours overnight so I have no idea about the area around it.

  Absolutely amazing! After the horror show that was my booked room which I quickly vacated, I was warmly welcomed and given great advice in regards to the rest of my holiday in Australia. (I am from Canada) Very clean, comfortable room and wonderful host! He even greeted me as I was packing up (very early) came out to the car park to ask how my stay was! I will stay again on my way back north!
