  The professionalism dropped even further when confronted as to why they had not followed up for that 6 week period. I was informed in no uncertain terms "What can I do about it? It was before I started here, that's got nothing to do with me" No! The onus was on the property managers employed by Living Here Mackay to manage my property to the best of their ability. I mean they were still taking property management fees and not managing! The tenants left, as I would too.

  When going into the office, the receptionist answered 3 phone calls while i was standing at the desk waiting to be served. It seems like i wasn't even acknowledged until an older lady walked into the foyer.

  As a buyer of a property that was managed by Living Here Property Management Mackay, I have formed the opinion that they are only concerned about securing a tenancy. It seems it doesn't matter about the calibre of the tenants, and ability to pay rent, let alone carrying out appropriate inspections to enforce the maintenance and integrity of the property. The property that I bought was only 12 months old and had been rented for that time. The lawn was nothing but a weed infested quagmire with deep holes in it as a result of dogs. The benchtop had been burned, the walls and benchtop had been scrubbed so hard that shiny areas are visible from excessive scrubbing, the oven racks somehow mysteriously disappeared between inspection and settlement, the tennants delayed settlement by 2 weeks as a result of failing to vacate the property in the required time. I find that this company fails in its obligations, and I'm astounded that they continue to trade. I sincerely hope that the tenants bond was not returned to them.

  On my second occasion to question their professionalism I had an issue needing repair (late Sept 2016), the company dropped the ball and despite being asked where we were at was ignored. When the tenant finally put in a breach notice (mid Nov), my first ever, I was notified and told they were waiting on a quote...... for more than 6 weeks? I was able to obtain the same quote in 45 minutes by speaking to the manufacturer.

  In the beginning they were ok but like some other operators in the area they churn through their staff and important information is neglected on handover.

  This franchise has the worst reception staff i have ever encountered. I have been calling for the past 2 weeks only to be put on hold or to be told that the man will call me back. No surprise he never calls me back.

  If you are considering a property manager in Mackay DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING THESE PEOPLE. They do not have you or your properties best interest at heart. They are extremely unprofessional and incompetent.

  How concerned were Living Here Mackay? Did they care that they dropped the ball? Not one iota. They even sent me back dated documents to cover themselves. They forgot about a little thing called metadata.

  They now say that because they are no longer my property manger they refuse to go to court to claim monies owed to me for unpaid rent, cleaning and lost materials from the tenant even though they were instructed to do this whilst they were my property managers.

  As a landlord, I have been left scratching my head as to how this business is still in operation. I should have sacked them when they allowed someone to live in my house for 6 months WITHOUT a tenancy agreement. They had no idea as my property managers that they had exposed me and my property legally because of their incompetence. That didn't stop them though collecting their fees but being the person I am I always give someone a second chance. BIG MISTAKE.
